How did you get into design?

In my free time, I played around with some design software, trying to make things I saw online prettier. Then I realized, “Maann, I really want to work with this!”.

Why are you at Liferay?

I always dreamed about working in a big company in what I like.

Favorite tool?

Figma and TickTick.

Best lifehack?

Disable lift to wake phone.

Where do you find #inspiration?

Dribbble, Mobbin, Refero, and more recently, Siteinspire.

One thing you are getting better at?

Presenting. I hope so.

If you weren't designing, what would you be doing?

Maybe coding.

What does your desktop/home screen look like?

It's the Windows 11 default wallpaper (on a Macbook 🤣).

Favorite place to visit?

João Pessoa, Brazil (my hometown!).

Advice for ambitious designers?

Be curious, ask lots of questions to fully understand the context of what you're doing. But most importantly, stay humble and open-minded, for the sake of the team and the product.

Most effective productivity booster?

Clean desk and nice music beats.

What keeps you up at night?

Nothing, just go to sleep!
